PURPOSE: A system for tracking the location of sun is provided to maximize energy efficiency, since a solar panel is positioned at a right angle to sun light to collect the sun light. CONSTITUTION: A system for tracking the location of sun comprises a pan-tilting unit(120), a position calculator(130), a controller(110), an electron compass(150), and a tilt sensor(160). The pan-tilting unit pan-tilts a solar panel(170) to face vertically to sun light. The position calculator calculates the location of the sun. The controller calculates the pan-tilting value of the pan-tilting unit and drives the pan-tilting unit based on the sun location value calculated by the position calculator. The electron compass detects the azimuth value of the solar panel. The tilt sensor detects the tilt value of the solar panel. The controller compares the pan-tilting value of the pan-tilting unit and the value detected by the sensor. |
