<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attach a switch device to fluorescent lighting fixtures of various forms including a fluorescent lighting fixture with a socket having a recessed central part provided at the end of a straight tube LED lamp. <P>SOLUTION: The switch device includes a first terminal (5) projecting from the housing, an operation body (9) having an operation part capable of receiving the press operation into the housing, a second terminal (6) the conduction state of which with the first terminal (5) is switched in response to the press operation against the operation body (9), and a torsion spring (12) which resets the operation body (9) to the initial state before the press operation. The operation body (9) is provided at a position different from between a pair of first terminals (5) and has a proximal part facing the housing.
