<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow an input/output function of an apparatus to be controlled to be used more easily from a control apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: A relay apparatus 200 manages a USB device information file and a control file in which contents of control over a USB device, or the like are described. The relay apparatus 200 transmits and receives the USB device information file and control file at a request from a USB host. The relay apparatus 200 transmits and receives commands to and from the USB device. The contents of control described in the control file are periodically analyzed, and the contents of control of the control file are converted into commands to an apparatus to be controlled 300.
