<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric power steering apparatus with an electric motor that prevents generation of a tap tone at a side face inside of a motor case and outside of a bearing or deterioration of an operation sound caused by unbalance of magnetic attraction between a rotor magnet and a stator when there are alignment failures in a rotary shaft and a worm shaft of the electric motor. <P>SOLUTION: A motor rotating shaft 21 is fixed to an electric motor side joint 61, and four engagement projections 67 are formed to the shaft end of the electric motor side joint 61. A worm shaft rotary shaft 24 is fixed to a worm side joint 32, and four engagement projections 37 are formed in the shaft end of the worm side joint 32. An elastic member 33 (elastic coupling) comprising two layers of the member with a different hardness is inserted between the electric motor side joint 61 and the worm side joint 32, and is engaged to both joint engagement projections 37 and 67. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
