PAPER MATERIAL SUPPLY DEVICE AND PAPER MATERIAL SUPPLY METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper material supply device and a paper material supply method for enhancing precision of measuring paper material weight.

SOLUTION: The paper material supply device 1 includes: a storage unit 4 for storing shredded paper materials 11; a feeding member 47 for feeding the paper materials 11 stored in the storage unit 4 to a duct 31; a blower 29 for generating an air current in the duct 31; a weight measuring device 71 provided to the downstream side of the duct 31 to catch and receive the paper materials 11 conveyed with the air current in the duct 31 and measure the weight of the paper materials 11; and a control unit 7 for controlling the operation of each unit. The control unit 7 controls the driving amount of the feeding member 47 on the basis of the measured value Wn obtained by the weight measuring device 71 and a time (tn) required to convey the paper materials.
