<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a passenger conveyor that improves safety and facilitation in maintaining and checking lighting devices, shortens a working time, and lengthens a lamp replacement cycle by using LED, thus reducing a workload in maintenance and check work. <P>SOLUTION: In the passenger conveyor, a ceiling is formed above footsteps that circularly move on which ceiling the lighting devices 9 are installed. The ceiling has a light emission part along a moving direction of the footsteps.
