When the data processing device (102) receives the query as to whether or not the peripheral unit (P1) is activated, the data processing device (102) determines whether or not the peripheral unit (P1) is activated. The data processing device (102) sends an activation confirmation response indicating whether or not the peripheral unit (P1) is activated to the data processing device (101). If the peripheral unit (P1) is being activated by the data processing device (102), the data processing device (101) executes the application (a) by using the peripheral unit (P1) being activated by the data processing device (102).
