<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image correction method that causes no increase in an output time by increasing the number of times of the scanning of a recording head, and can output a high-quality image with no recognizable beading without extremely narrowing a color reproduction range. <P>SOLUTION: The image correction method used in an image forming apparatus configured to form an image by discharging liquid droplets to a recording medium from a recording head for discharging a plurality of colors based on input data includes: a pattern recording step S1 in which a plurality of patterns having different CMY values is printed on the recording medium; image evaluation steps S2 and S3 in which the degree of granularity recorded on the recording medium is measured; a threshold determination step S7 in which a threshold nmax is determined based on the degree of measured granularity; steps S11-S15 in which the state of the combination of ink colors at each pixel is estimated based on the CMY values that are the color conversion of RGB values in the input data; and a step S16 in which the CMY values are corrected based on the determination result and the threshold nmax to further reduce the CMY values at each pixel. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
