PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for efficiently producing a polymer microparticle having a sodium sulfonate group, which is a nanometer-level polymer microparticle having narrow particle diameter distribution, introduced with a large amount of sodium sulfonate groups, which is not soluble in water, and has excellent proton conductivity, and which is preferably used for a membrane-electrode assembly (MEA) or the like in a solid fuel cell.
SOLUTION: This method for producing a polymer microparticle having a sodium sulfonate group comprises dispersing an aqueous solution containing an aromatic vinylic compound, introduced with a sodium sulfonate group on the aromatic ring, and a water-soluble crosslinking agent in an organic solvent containing an emulsifier, to form a water-phase/oil-phase system; and performing reverse-phase emulsion polymerization in the presence of a polymerization initiator.
COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
