<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress water infiltration into a rotor housing and cool inside of a motor. <P>SOLUTION: A fan motor 10 includes: a rotor 14 having a bottomed cylindrical rotor housing 32 in which cooling air discharge holes 36 are penetrated through a bottom portion 28; a fan 20 which has a bottomed cylindrical fan boss 62 having a bottom portion 58 axially opposing to the bottom portion 28 of the rotor housing 32 and a cylindrical portion 60 located on the radial outer side of an outer peripheral portion 30 of the rotor housing and includes a plurality of blades 66 installed in the cylindrical portion 60 of the fan boss 62; a plurality of fins 68 which are formed on the bottom portion 58 of the fan boss 62 radially, and form a flow of cooling air discharged from the cooling air discharge holes 36 to outside of the rotor housing 32 through inside of the rotor housing 32 due to rotation of the fan boss 62; and a waterproof ring 22 having an annular portion 70 disposed between the plurality of fins 68 and the rotor housing 32 and the fan boss 62 in the radial direction. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
