<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ensure conduction between a shaft and a motor plate even in a case where an end of the shaft is movably held. <P>SOLUTION: The optical disk device including an optical pickup unit that emits a laser beam to an attached optical disk, and a base to which the optical pickup unit is movably attached comprises the shaft configured to guide movement of the optical pickup unit in a radial direction of the attached optical disk. The base has a support part holding the end of the shaft. A tilt plate provided on the support part such that the end of the shaft is pressed so as to be separated from the base, and the motor plate on which a motor for rotating the attached optical disk is mounted are attached to the base.
