<p>The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing an optical component, including a substrate made of a fusible material, said method including the following steps a) and b) or steps a), b) and c), or steps a), b), c) and d): a) roughing; b) fine grinding; c) polishing; and d) finishing. According to the invention, the method includes the following steps, subsequent to any one of steps b), c) and/or d): e) inspecting the optical surface of the optical component; f) detecting and locating at least one surface defect to be eliminated; g) for each surface defect to be eliminated, applying a laser beam to an area encompassing said surface defect to be eliminated, so as to produce a local reflow of the fusible material, and so as to form, at the location of the surface defect to be eliminated, an area of material remelted by the laser; h) polishing said optical surface including at least one area of material remelted by the laser, so as to produce a polished optical surface free of surface defects, and continuing the manufacturing method at step c) and d).</p> |
