The spindle motor comprises a base plate (12), and motor component attached to the base plate. A fluid dynamic bearing system is provided for pivot bearing of the movable component relative to the stationary motor component about a rotation axis. An electromagnetic driving system is provided for the rotational drive motor of the movable component. The base plate or the cover arranged on the base plate, are formed as portion of the housing (14) of the electronic device. Independent claims are included for the following: (1) a storage disk drive assembly; and (2) an electronic device.
