The surface of the electrooptic crystal is coated with a first and a second polarising coating, the first polarising coating being applied on the lower surface of the electrooptic crystal such that its transmission axis makes an angle 0°<?<90° with the z-axis of optical anisotropy of the electrooptic crystal, and the second polarising coating is applied on the upper surface of the electrooptic crystal such that its transmission axis is parallel to the y-axis or the z-axis of optical anisotropy of the electrooptic crystal.EFFECT: reduced control voltage.2 dwg
