<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make the calorific value of a fixing member equal in a longitudinal direction, in a fixing device of an electromagnetic induction heating system. <P>SOLUTION: A fixing unit includes: a fixing belt having a conductive heat generating layer and fixing toner on a sheet of paper in such a manner that the conductive heat generating layer is electromagnetic-induction heated; and an exciting coil 82 provided to face the fixing belt, having a litz wire (conductor wire) rotated and wound from one end of the fixing belt to the other end of the fixing belt in its longitudinal direction and from the other end of the fixing belt to one end of the fixing belt in its longitudinal direction and generating an AC magnetic field electromagnetic-induction heating the conductive heat generating layer of the fixing belt. The exciting coil 82 is provided so that the litz wire (conductor wire) at the ends (fold-back parts 82R) of one end side and the other end side of the exciting coil 82 is nearer to the fixing belt than that in the central part (straight line part 82S) of the exciting coil 82. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
