摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultrasonic flow meter capable of highly accurately measuring the flow velocity and flow rate of fluid by selecting the arrangement positions of a wedge and a vibrator and appropriately selecting the transmission timing of the ultrasonic flow meter. <P>SOLUTION: An ultrasonic flow meter for measuring the flow velocity and flow rate of fluid including air bubbles flowing in piping includes: two ultrasonic wave transmission/reception means arranged to be opposed and separated at predetermined distance L in the longitudinal direction of the outer periphery of the piping; and a converter 6 for transmitting ultrasonic signals to the ultrasonic wave transmission/reception means and calculating the velocity of the fluid on the basis of signals reflected against the air bubbles. The predetermined distance L is obtained based on the predetermined and measurable maximum flow velocity Vmax.
