PURPOSE: A broadcast information searching method and a system thereof using a broadcasting image are provided to efficiently search for detail information in case a viewer searches for detailed information while viewing mass media such as TV. CONSTITUTION: A user selects a TV program channel(S320). A broadcasting information search system encodes an image of a selected channel(S130). The user selects a desired screen in an encoded image(S340). The broadcasting information search system confirms time information of the selected screen(S150). The broadcasting information search system confirms additional information and a broadcasting information keyword(S160). A terminal outputs the confirmed broadcasting information and a broadcasting information keyword(S370).
