A method and a device for removing a support pin (75) for a control rod cluster guide tube, the support pin (75) being configured in such a manner that the bolt section (87) of the support pin body (81) penetrates through the second flange (74) of the control rod cluster guide tube (59), a nut (82) is engaged with the bolt section (87), and a loosening prevention pin (83) is mounted between the nut (82) and the front end of the bolt section (87). The support pin is appropriately removed from the control rod cluster guide tube by cutting the bolt section (87) from the outside of the nut (82) and rotating the support pin body (81) and the nut (82) relative to each other to disengage the bolt section (87) and the nut (82) from each other. This eliminates the dropping of objects and can improve work efficiency.
