<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a negative electrode which allows the materialization of a secondary battery in which negative electrode's expansion involved in charge/discharge can be suppressed, and which is less prone to be reduced in capacity even when stored in a high-temperature environment or a low-temperature environment, has good cycle characteristics at high and low temperatures, and is easy to manufacture. <P>SOLUTION: The negative electrode for a secondary battery comprises: a negative electrode active material; a binder; and a water-soluble polymer. The water-soluble polymer is a copolymer containing 0.5 wt.% to 10 wt.% of fluorine-containing (meth)acrylic ester monomeric unit, and 5 to 30 wt.% of phosphate group-containing monomer unit. Further, the following are provided: a method of manufacturing the negative electrode; a slurry used for manufacturing the negative electrode; and a secondary battery containing it. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
