<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aluminum foil for an electrode of an electrolytic capacitor that prevents generation of point uneven brightness caused by non-etching and has high capacitance, and to provide a method for manufacturing the same. <P>SOLUTION: An high-purity aluminum material is rolled, thereby being formed into a wide coil material 10. The material is annealed while being the coil material 10 and thereafter the annealed coil material 10 is slit in a predetermined width.
