Provided is a novel agent which can effectively promote the production of platelet-derived growth factor-BB (PDGF-BB) which is a component involved in the promotion of the production of mesenchymal stem cells or the stabilization of stem cells. A PDGF-BB production promoter comprising at least one component selected from a substance derived from cowberry (Vaccinium vitis-idaea L.), a substance derived from mangosteen (Garcinia mangostana), a substance derived from Scutellaria plant (Scutellaria baicalensis Georgi, Labiatea), inositol and inositol phosphate as an active ingredient.
