MEDIA STORAGE SYSTEM AND METHOD

Provided are a media storage system and method. A content recording module pre-converts a first media file or media stream recorded from a media source, thereby enabling a content storage module to store media files of multiple formats and enhancing the media storage flexibility; and a first storage pool and a second storage pool are not independent of each other, so the content storage module is able to transfer media content between the two pools (i.e. to transfer media content from the first storage pool to the second storage pool, or to transfer media content from the second storage pool to the first storage pool), thereby enhancing the storage speed and read and retrieval speed of the content storage module and improving the media storage efficiency, as well as further reducing cost.
