The present invention relates to methods of treating individuals suffering from Leigh-like Syndrome due to one or more mutations in the SUCLA2 gene or individuals suffering from complications arising from one or more mutations in the SUCLA2 gene with tocotrienol quinones, including alpha-tocotrienol quinone, in order to alleviate symptoms of the disease or complications arising from the one or more mutations.
