<p>A multi-cylinder rotary compressor (2) has, encased within a hermetically sealed case (9): an electric motor section (10); a low-stage-side compression mechanism section (11) located below the electric motor section (10); and a high-stage-side compression mechanism section (12) located above the electric motor section (10), and the multi-cylinder rotary compressor (2) is provided with intermediate pressure piping (40) for conducting operating fluid having intermediate pressure to the suction side of the high-stage-side compression mechanism section (12), the operating fluid having been discharged into the hermetically sealed case (9) from the low-pressure-side compression mechanism section (11). The position of a communication section (41) by which the intermediate pressure piping (40) and the hermetically sealed case (9) are connected to each other is located above the electric motor section (10).</p> |
