The arrangement has a component (1) i.e. storage compartment (2), provided with a box-shaped upwardly opened housing (3). The housing includes a cover (4), which is pivotably mounted on coaxial bearing pins (6) by a pivot bearing (5). The bearing pins are outwardly projected from opposite side walls of the housing. An installation opening (8) includes a U-shaped upwardly opened retainer (12) for the pivot bearing. The bearing pins are accommodated in the retainer in an installed condition of the component. Bearing flaps (7) are downwardly projected from a lower side of the cover.
