Provided in embodiments of the present invention are a method, device, and system for handling intra-frame prediction coding and decoding. The intra-frame prediction coding and decoding handling method comprises: acquiring a most probable mode (MPM) collection of a current block and an intra-frame prediction mode used by the current block, where elements in the MPM collection is acquired from the intra-frame prediction mode used by a block adjacent to the current block; determining, on the basis of the number and values of the elements in the MPM collection, information of the intra-frame prediction mode used by the current block; and transmitting a codestream to a decoder device, where the codestream comprises the information of the intra-frame prediction mode used by the current block.
