<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composite molding excellent in adhesion between fiber reinforced resin as preform and supply resin, reliability and appearance in insert molding, and a method of manufacturing the composite molding. <P>SOLUTION: In this method of manufacturing the composite molding, the fiber reinforced resin A which is preliminarily molded and has matrix resin constituted of thermoplastic resin is disposed within a die as the preform, and liquefied resin B is supplied around the fiber reinforced resin A within the die, so as to perform insert molding of the fiber reinforced resin A. As a side face of the fiber reinforced resin A coming into contact with the resin B, a side face having at least two inclined surfaces inclined at different angles to form a recessed shape is formed before the insert molding.
