<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotary electric machine incorporating a joint member, capable of reducing a shake of the joint member to an axis line reference of a rotation axis of a motor, and of fixing an output shaft and the joint member by press fitting at low costs. <P>SOLUTION: A motor 1 has: a cylindrical yoke 2; an output shaft 7 provided on a center axis line in the yoke 2 freely and rotatably; an armature 8 fixed to the output shaft 7; and a joint member 30 having a press-fitted part 32 to which the output shaft 7 is press-fitted and an engaged part 35 spline-engaged with a driven shaft where a rotation torque of the output shaft 7 is communicated, and being formed by cold forging processing. A front end part 7a of the output shaft 7 to which no unevenness part is formed is press-fitted to a press-fitting hole 31 formed on an inner peripheral surface of the press-fitted part 32 and to which no unevenness part is formed.
