<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of detecting abnormal conditions of a step of a passenger conveyor, wherein even when only one wheel is damaged, the method can quickly detect such a case. <P>SOLUTION: Downwardly depressed recesses and detectors 26 for detecting wheels dropped into the recesses are provided at a left non-conveying guide rail guiding one of left rear wheel and left front wheel and a right non-conveying guide rail guiding one of right rear wheel 8AR and right front wheel, out of the non-conveying guide rails guiding the left rear wheel, left front wheel, right rear wheel 8AR, and right front wheel of a step 2 moving in a section not conveying a passenger, respectively. The recesses are provided so that the position of the step 2 in which one of the left rear wheel and the left front wheel drops is different from that of the step 2 in which one of the right rear wheel 8AR and the right front wheel drops. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
