PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a housing which enables the downsizing and the thickness reduction while maintaining the size of a housing space without extending the manufacturing period and has a waterproof function.

SOLUTION: This invention relates to a housing 11 including a housing body 2, a lid member 3, a frame member 9, and a gasket 7. The housing body 2 has a recess serving as a housing space. The lid member 3 detachably engages with a periphery of the recess of the housing body 2, and at least a part of the lid member 3 covers the recess. The frame member 9 is annularly formed along the periphery of the recess of the housing body 2 and is welded to a surface 3a of the lid member 3 which is on the side covering the recess of the housing body 2. The gasket 7 is formed on a surface of the frame member 9 which is opposite to the side welded to the lid member 3 and closes a gap between the periphery of the recess of the housing body 2 and the lid member 3.
