Producing stone composite material (1) comprising at least one multilayered stone material (6) layer and a base layer (2) adhering on it, comprises (a) applying the base layer on the outer layer of the multilayered stone material, (b) dielectrically heating at least in the region of the base layer to form an adhesive bond between the outer layer and the base layer, and (c) removing the base layer together with the outer layer of the stone material. An independent claim is also included for the stone composite material comprising the multilayered stone material layer and vapor permeable layer adhering on it.
