The method involves firmly connecting the outer layer of composite sheet metal component (2) such as vehicle roof with metal layer of component (3) such as vehicle chassis by applying electromagnetic pulse shape process. The distance between the joining elements are set between 0.02mm-3mm. The plastic film is made of thermoplastic material, polyethylene, polyamide or polyethylene polyamide. The intermediate layer of sheet metal components are made of primarily coal, basalt, aramid, polyethylene, glass or boron. An independent claim is included for joined structure.
