<p>The invention relates to a system and method for detection of intrusions, based on the passive and continuous analysis of users' unique patterns when typing on a computer keyboard. Independent of any additional peripheral equipment, this method requires no dedicated interactions, running in the background of the legitimate users' computers monitoring the unrestrained text input produced. In addition to periodical intrusion verifications, it also enables triggering asynchronous intrusion detection in the event of any critical operation. It comprises event logging and periodic verification (1), asynchronous verification (2), sample processing (3), user profile database (4), scores calculation (5), decision (6), progressive learning (8), and intrusion reporting (7).</p> |
