<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that although detail improvement is achieved by generating and storing document image data in the form of a vector without rasterization limitedly to a rendering object such as a small character and a thin line and rendering the object at a magnification rate corresponding to print settings in a printing process, a gap is formed at a border between adjacent rendering objects when an object of high resolution and an object of low resolution are rendered to the different resolutions. <P>SOLUTION: An image processing apparatus includes rendering object generation means of interpreting PDL data and generating the rendering object; generation means of generating rendering data by quantizing coordinate values of respective pixels included in the rendering object generated by the rendering object generation means with a predetermined resolution; and holding means of holding values discarded through the quantization as additional information on coordinate values when the coordinate values are quantized by the generation means with the determined resolution. The holding means holds the additional information in an area different from the coordinate values of the determined resolution, obtained through the quantization, of the rendering data generated by the generation means. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
