The subject of the invention is a peptide with the enzymatic activity of a Dicer-like protein, a method for preparing short RNA molecules, and use thereof. The purpose of the solution was to develop a new method of producing short RNA molecules, using a new, MtDCLlpepA peptide of a Dicer protein activity designed by inventors.
