摘要 <p>The present invention addresses the problem of providing a protective film for a polarizing plate having excellent adhesion with a polarizer, dimensional stability under high temperatures and high humidity, and light diffusing performance without moiré fringe when used on the backlight side of a liquid crystal display device. The protective film for a polarizing plate having an irregular surface of the present invention is characterized in comprising a cellulose ester resin (A) and cellulose ester resin (B), wherein (A) resin (A) is a cellulose acetate propionate, (B) the mass ratio of resin (A) and resin (B) is within a range of A/B = 60/40 to 95/5, and (C) (Z) as defined by formula 1 relating to the propionyl degree of substitution (PrA) of resin (A) and (Y) as defined by formula 2 relating to the degree of acetyl substitution (AcB) and degree of propionyl substitute (PrB) of resin (B) satisfy Y Z within a range of PrA > 0.5. Formula 1: Z = 0.7 x (PrA) + 1.7, Formula 2: Y = 2 x (PrB)+(AcB).</p>
