Motorcycle tyres suited for agile motorcycles having low engine displacement have a tread pattern comprising grooves (21) which extend substantially in transverse direction from one lateral region of the tread band to the other lateral region of the tread band. Other grooves (22) extend substantially in longitudinal direction within a central region (M) of the tread band. Solid portions (23) are also located within the central region of the tread band an alternate with the latter grooves (22) in longitudinal direction.
