<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a skin external preparation containing a biphenyl compound such as 2,2' dihydroxy-5,5'-dialkyl-biphenyl which is a whitening agent and having little skin irritation, and to provide a method of producing the same. <P>SOLUTION: This skin external preparation contains 0.1 to 5% by mass of a biphenyl compound represented by the general formula (1) [in the formula, R represents a hydrogen atom, or a 1-8C chain hydrocarbon group], and 0.01 to 5% by mass of salt of ascorbyl 2-phosphate 6-palmitate. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
