The rammer device (10) comprises housing (12) having tool holder (14) and turning arrest device (16) which is provided in tool holder in different rotational positions to fix a guide sleeve (18) relative to housing. A locking unit (20) of turning arrest device is bounded outwardly in radial direction, in which rotatably mounted retaining ring (22) is provided. A stop plate is provided to transmit biasing force of guide sleeve to housing through retaining ring.
