An organic EL element which is provided with: an organic EL part that is provided with a positive electrode (114), an organic EL layer (116) and a negative electrode (117); a wiring part (106) for supplying electric power to the positive electrode (114); and an organic layer (111) that is interposed between the positive electrode (114) and the wiring part (106). The organic layer (111) is configured by sequentially laminating, from the wiring part (106) side, a first organic layer (112) and a second organic layer (113) in this order. The first organic layer (112) contains an azatriphenylene derivative, and the second organic layer (113) contains an amine compound.
