Disclosed are a method, base station and user equipment for transmitting control channel indication information. The method comprises: determining the format of an extended physical downlink control channel (E-PDCCH), the format of the E-PDCCH comprising resource an allocation mode and/or a transmission mode of the E-PDCCH; transmitting E-PDCCH indication information to user equipment on resources mapped by at least one control channel element (CCE) of a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH), the E-PDCCH indication information being used for indicating the format of the E-PDCCH. The base station comprises a determination module and a transmission module. The user equipment comprises a receiving module and a determination module. The method, base station and user equipment according to the embodiments of the present invention can dynamically transmit E-PDCCH indication information, thereby enhancing the resource utilization of a system and the transmission performance of the E-PDCCH.
