PURPOSE: A cable aged deterioration measuring system and a method thereof are provided to measure aged deterioration of a cable by a relatively simple method of using the variation ratio of a propagation coefficient. CONSTITUTION: A cable aged deterioration measuring system(1000) comprises a cable(100), a load(200), a first device(300), and a second device(400). One end of the cable is connected to the load. The first device, by applying DC voltage and AC voltage to the load, determines the kinds, values, and serial/parallel connection relations of elements included in the load, and calculates a time constant generated by the elements. As impulse voltage is applied to the load through the other end of the cable, the second device checks reflective voltage of the load and comes up with the variation ratio of a propagation coefficient.
