<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable highly accurate light control by single preliminary light emission only. <P>SOLUTION: The imaging apparatus comprises: an imager 3 having a plurality of pixel groups and configured to output, for each pixel, an output value based on the frequency component and spectral sensitivity characteristic of light reflected from a subject; and a system control circuit 20 configured to determine an amount of light emission for the actual light emission by a strobe 13, on the basis of a plurality of output values obtained from the imager 3 by the preliminary light emission by the strobe 13. The system control circuit 20 determines the amount of light emission for the actual light emission by the strobe 13, without using any output value obtained from a pixel group including a pixel whose output value obtained from the imager 3 by the preliminary light emission is equal to or higher than a predetermined value. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
