<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a prepaid type card settlement system which is wide in versatility, simple and safe. <P>SOLUTION: A prepaid type card settlement system includes at least: a transaction card for storing visible card identification information and invisible card identification information; a transaction card reading terminal; a center server; and a customer communication terminal. When transaction card identification information preliminarily registered in the center server matches transaction card identification information stored in the transaction card, the balance of the transaction card stored in the center server is updated on the basis of deposited/dispensed money information.
