The device (12) for protecting a part (10) made of a composite comprises: a body made of a flexible material suitable for marrying, at least partially, the shape of the composite part; and an electrically conductive area (14) associated with the body made of the flexible material. In embodiments, the body made of the flexible material is able to form a plurality of zones for fastening it to the composite part and/or is suitably curved to create a gap of several tens of millimetres via discrete contact with the composite part. In embodiments, the device comprises fasteners (16, 22) connecting the protective device to an electrical contact (18) of the composite part. In embodiments, the electrically conductive area is formed by the material of the body of the device or is formed by a selective metallization.
