The cooling system (1) has refrigerant and cooling circuits (2,4) coupled by an evaporator (22). An air conditioner (18) is coupled with heating circuit (6) by heat transfer medium. Heating circuit is comprised of an electrical heater (12), a pump (46), two-way valve (48) and three-way valve (54), so that a branch pipe (52) is bypassed by a branch pipe (50) for heat exchange with an internal combustion engine (8). Valves are arranged behind engine. A branch line (56) is used for heat exchange with a high-voltage source via a heat exchanger (59) and a branch line (58).
