The seal (10) has a valve (30) for interrupting transfer of water from a water tank into a steam chamber, where the seal is made of silicone or plastic. First and second pipe connecting pieces (12, 14) are formed between the water tank and the steam chamber, and between the water tank and another steam chamber, respectively. The first and second connecting pieces exhibit different diameters. A third pipe connecting piece (16) connects the water tank with a decalcifying device that is partially formed by a soleplate. A drip-stop device cooperates with a bimetal.
