<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simple economical device for disinfecting a female luer. <P>SOLUTION: This microbial scrub brush 20 employs inserts of foam materials 22, 22', 22'', 22''', 47, 47' that are impregnated with an anti-bacterial disinfectant housed within housings 21, 21', 51 of alcohol compatible material, and sealed over by a removable lid 23. The inserts 22, 22', 22'', 22''', 47, 47' are maintained in sterile condition until ready for use. After the removal of the lid 23, the inserts of foam materials 22, 22', 22'', 22''', 47, 47' are moved over the end of a female luer 40 and rotated in order to clean the outer surface of the luer 40 as well as the interior of the luer 40. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
