PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve a lamp and a lighting fixture of a long life and the same user friendliness as a conventional fluorescent lamp, with the use of a cold-cathode fluorescent tube. SOLUTION: The cold-cathode fluorescent lamp includes: a cold-cathode fluorescent lamp 1 assuring a gap between an inner peripheral wall of a lamp cover 2 and an outer peripheral wall of a cold-cathode fluorescent tube 3 to store two straight cold-cathode fluorescent lamp tubes in a cylindrical lamp cover, and also setting a size of an inner diameter of the lamp cover to an outer diameter of the cold-cathode fluorescent tube so that partial heat generation from the cold-cathode fluorescent tube can be spread all over the lamp by the air in the gap as the heating medium; and a pair of sockets 10, 10 to be in contact with a base of the cold-cathode fluorescent lamp with lamp pins in a state inserted. In one of the sockets, the two lamp pins of the cold-cathode fluorescent tube inserted there are short-circuited, while, in the other socket, power is fed to the two pins of the cold-cathode fluorescent tube inserted there.
