PURPOSE: A chalcone derivative is provided to have programmed cell death activity, thereby using as an anticancer medicine or health supplement food. CONSTITUTION: 4,5-benzo-1-hydroxy-2',4',6'-trimethoxychalcone or pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, which is a chalcone derivative is in chemical formula 1. A composition for preventing or treating cancer contains the 4,5-benzo-1-hydroxy-2',4',6'-trimethoxychalcone or pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof as an active ingredient. The 4,5-benzo-1-hydroxy-2',4',6'-trimethoxychalcone or pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof is able to prevent or treat cancel by inducing type-1 programmed cell death activity in cancer cell. |
